You Have to Keep Moving
Running into the wind
Pushing against it;
run against the pain.
Inhale, fill your lungs until they feel like they are about to burst
And exhale a silent scream.
The pain in your left calf, ignore it.
Managing that physical pain is easier than the one that’s building that lump in your throat;
The one that is trying to strangle you
from the inside out.
Your feet move and your brain stops,
From here on out you are all heart.
You are just breathing and moving
Life in its purest form
You run to chase, you run towards, you run to feel
You run away, you run to forget, you run to feel other pain.
You learn; you learn all pain is manageable no matter how devastating
You learn to just keep moving.
